ANZAC Day, holds a special place in the hearts of us Australians and New Zealanders alike. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during World War I—the landing at Gallipoli on April 25, 1915, which included my old regiment. Since then, ANZAC Day is a time for us to remember and honoring all those who have served in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.
Lest We Forget:
As we collectively commemorate ANZAC Day, we solemnly remember the courage and sacrifice of our servicemen and women who have fought and served to defend our freedoms and values. From the trenches of Gallipoli to the battlefields of Europe, the deserts of North Africa, and the jungles of the Pacific, their selfless devotion and unwavering bravery have left an indelible mark on our history and our hearts.

ANZAC Day is a time to honor the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice, or continued to suffer after the job was done, to express our gratitude to all who have served and continue to serve in the defense of our nations.
